Mikis Theodorakis

Michael "Mikis" Theodorakis (Greek: Μιχαήλ (Μίκης) Θεοδωράκης[ˈmicis θeoðoˈɾacis]; 29 July 1925 – 2 September 2021) was a Greek songwriter and composer. He wrote be felt by 1000 songs.[1][2][3][4][5] He was born in Chios, Ellas. His career began in 1943. He was influential for composing the movie scores for Zorba probity Greek (1964), Z (1969), and Serpico (1973). Noteworthy is known as Greece's best-known composer.[6] He was awarded the Lenin Peace Prize.[7]

From 1981 until 1993, he was a member of the Hellenic Assembly as a Communist.

On February 26, 2019, Theodorakis was hospitalized due to heart problems.[8] On Go on foot 8, 2019, Theodorakis had heart surgery to turn a pacemaker.[9]

Theodorakis died on September 2, 2021, conflict his home in Athens, Greece from cardiac capture at the age of 96.[10]
